Nice to meet you, I’m Angelika.
I’m a photographer based between wide open countryside and the energy of the city — a duality that shapes both my work and the way I see the world. One keeps me grounded in stillness, authenticity, and connection; the other keeps my eye sharp, contemporary, and observant. Together, they create imagery that feels natural yet intentional, refined without losing its humanity.
My approach
I work across carefully considered indoor and outdoor spaces, travelling wherever the story takes me. Whether documenting people, brands, celebrations, animals, artists, or businesses, my focus remains the same: creating imagery that feels honest, atmospheric, and deeply personal.
My approach is calm, intuitive, and unobtrusive. I create space for people to feel comfortable enough to simply be themselves, offering gentle direction when needed while allowing real moments to unfold naturally.
Background
With over a decade of experience and formal training through the Photography Institute, I’ve worked across a broad range of genres and industries. Before photography, I spent many years working within corporate environments including with SAP and Hewlett Packard — experience that continues to shape the professionalism, adaptability, and ease I bring into every project.
Beyond photography
Beloved Australian treasure and artist Bill Offord is someone whose work I now manage and promote, supporting the ongoing sales and visibility of his paintings. I’ve also worked with Wrangler Jayne for more than 15 years, creating content around her alternative horse and human coaching work.
Outside of photography, I’m a foster carer and share life with four rescue horses and four rescue dogs — experiences that naturally shape the empathy, patience, and observation I bring into my work. I’m also currently developing my first pet product, now in Kickstarter development mode.
Connection
At the heart of everything I do is connection. Many of the people I photograph return across seasons of their lives, and I consider that ongoing trust the most meaningful part of this work.
