Kim & Mark | A Beautiful Melbourne Wedding Celebrating Love and Family

An intimate Melbourne wedding, a blended family, and a beautiful weekend filled with love, laughter and unforgettable moments.

Some weddings stay with you because of the people, the atmosphere and the genuine emotions throughout the day. Kim and Mark's wedding was certainly one of those celebrations.

Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of photographing their beautiful Melbourne wedding, surrounded by approximately 25 of their closest family members and friends.

Living in regional Victoria, Kim and Mark decided to turn their wedding into a weekend city escape, combining beautiful Melbourne locations, wonderful food and quality time with the people who matter most.

A Wedding Connection That Began Two Years Earlier

My connection with Kim actually began two years before her wedding, when I photographed her cousin Treasure's wedding.

When Kim and Mark started planning their own special day, they knew they wanted me to capture their wedding story too.

They booked well in advance, allowing plenty of time to plan their photography around the different locations and celebrations.

As a photographer, there's something particularly meaningful about being invited to photograph another wedding within the same family.

It's a wonderful feeling knowing that the photographs and experience from one celebration have led to another.

An Intimate Wedding Ceremony Overlooking St Kilda

Their wedding ceremony took place at St Kilda Towers, high above the city, in a beautiful room with large windows overlooking the sea.

It was an incredibly moving celebration, made even more meaningful by the coming together of two families.

Kim looked absolutely gorgeous, and Mark equally handsome.

The boys wore suits matching Mark's, while the girls looked beautiful in their pretty blue dresses.

With their children, parents, family and closest friends gathered around them, the atmosphere was warm, relaxed and full of emotion.

There was something particularly special about the size of this wedding. With just over 25 guests, everyone could truly be part of the celebration.

From St Kilda to the Heart of Melbourne

Following the ceremony, we gathered everyone on the steps outside for a group photograph, followed by smaller family portraits in front of the building.

Then it was time for drinks and delicious snacks at Gentleman George's.

While the guests enjoyed some time to themselves, Kim, Mark, their children and I headed off for a little photographic adventure through Melbourne.

Our first stop was Federation Square, a location with a very special meaning.

It's where Kim and Mark first met.

Returning to the place where their story began, this time as a married couple, was a beautiful way to celebrate their new chapter together.

From there, we travelled to Port Melbourne Beach, where the beautiful weather and perfect light gave us the opportunity to create some relaxed photographs by the sea.

We then returned to The Langham Melbourne for photographs on its magnificent staircase before joining the celebrations at Red Emperor for the cake cutting.

A Wedding That Was Truly Their Own

What I particularly loved about Kim and Mark's wedding was how thoughtfully everything had been organised.

There was time for family, time for friends, time for beautiful photographs and, importantly, time to simply enjoy being together.

The weather couldn't have been better, the light was beautiful, and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time.

It was a reminder that a wedding doesn't need hundreds of guests or an enormous production to be meaningful.

Sometimes, a beautiful location, the people who matter most and a carefully planned day are all you need.

Kim and Mark created a celebration that was personal, relaxed and full of wonderful moments.

Wedding Photographs and Video Delivered in Just Three Days

Just three days after their wedding, Kim and Mark received their wedding photographs and highlight video.

They were absolutely delighted with the results.

I'm also incredibly grateful that they have generously allowed me to share their complete wedding gallery.

As a professional wedding photographer, I often hear couples wondering what they will actually receive when booking wedding photography.

Rather than showing only a handful of carefully selected favourite images, I wanted to offer something different.

An opportunity to see a real wedding, photographed throughout the booked coverage, and the complete collection delivered to the couple.

Kim and Mark booked four hours of wedding photography, and their gallery demonstrates just how much of a wedding story can be captured in that time.

From the emotional ceremony and family portraits to the beautiful Melbourne locations and relaxed celebrations, every photograph contributes to their story.

If you're planning your own wedding and wondering what four hours of professional wedding photography can look like, I invite you to explore Kim and Mark's complete wedding gallery.

With their kind permission, I'm sharing the photographs they received, rather than just a small selection of highlights.

It's an opportunity to experience a real wedding through my lens and see how the moments, details, emotions and celebrations come together to tell a complete story.
